Do I need a referral?
If any of the following provide funding for your appointment you may need a referral

Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) Plan
Medicare
*GP referral needed
Chronic Disease Management & Annual Diabetes Assessment.
If eligible, your GP can refer for up to 5 visits per calendar year.
If you have a valid referral, you will still need to pay for your consultation upfront on the day and the podiatrist can submit the claim to Medicare for you to save you a trip and the hassle of queuing. The Medicare rebate will then be deposited into your nominated bank account typically in 1-2days.

Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA)
*GP referral needed
DVA cover the full cost of any podiatry treatment for DVA Gold Card holders including medical aids, equipment and modifications. Some Podiatry services require prior approval from DVA.
DVA White Card holders are eligible for DVA funded treatment for an accepted service-related condition.
